Description: 1971-D Kennedy Half Dollar DDO-016 Double Die Obverse - XF Found this coin some time ago looking for major varieties and put it away. High point wear throughout with nice remaining details. I researched this DDO to the #016 and can be verified with the images of the actual coin you will receive with Variety Vista online. What has me convinced is the broken top left corner of the T in TRUST matches the #016. This example may be a later die state since there is a broken right serif in the T of LIBERTY but the serif split can still be seen caused by die deterioration. This is a minor DDO but an interesting one with clear doubling mostly on the right half of the coin especially in TRUST of IN GOD WE TRUST and the ERTY of LIBERTY. I've included images of various devices on the obverse including areas not showing doubling. I am not sure of it's value because it's a minor variety not recognized by PCGS or NGC and I could not find one graded on ANACS pop reports, who will identify most Kennedy DDR's. Hoping to find this coin a home with an avid variety collector looking to fill a spot. Images are of the exact coin you will receive. Postage is included with the purchase price.
