Description: Up for sale, a 1957 Gretsch 6190 Streamliner in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A golden-age Gretsch model only produced from 1955-58, this Streamliner is essentially a single pickup 6120, featuring identical construction and bracing to its two-pickup Chet Atkins-endorsed model from the same year. The fully hollow 16" wide body features parallel tone bar bracing, offering a broad, sweet natural acoustic bark. From the single neck position DeArmond DynaSonic pickup, the electrified sound is big, bold, and bubbly, with the attack of maple, both immediate and full-sounding. The guitar feels very elegant and instantly responsive, able to achieve many subtle tonal shades with the twist of the Volume or Tone knobs. This 6190 Streamliner weighs 6lbs 9oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
