Other notable servicemen of the King’s African Rifles were Roald Dahl, Waruhiu Itote, and John Seymour. Stigand was a notable hunter, and was also posted to the Upper White Nile in the Egyptian army. With a frontispiece, thirty-five plates, and two maps. Collated; complete. CONDITION In the original publisher’s cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light marking to the boards, causing slight discolouration. Bumping to the head and tail of the spine, and to the extremities. Some cockling to the spine. Light rubbing to the joints. Marking and half a label to the rear pastedown. Offsetting to the verso of the rear endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with just the odd spot, mostly focused to the first and last few pages.
