Grosart. Phineas Fletcher was an English poet and elder son of Dr Giles Fletcher. Volume one contains a memoir and an essay on the poetry of Fletcher. Volume two contains Locustae, volume three contains Sicelides and volume four contains The Purple Island with an introduction and notes. With a frontispiece to volume one.Collated, complete. CONDITION In the original cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with library numbers to the spines and fading to the spine labels. Bumping to the head and tails of the spines. Previous owner inscriptions to the front endpapers. Internally, firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages.
