Usually there are walls of the case or what not close around the 92mm fan slot that would block the larger fan. Take a look at the pictures mounted in case*. Comes with the 8 screws you'll need; really easy just screw your 120mm fan to the adapter and then the adapter to the case. Fits standard 120mm fans and 92mm slots. Will almost certainly fit unless you have a really strange fan; if in doubt refer to the technical drawing and measure your fan & fan slot. Unlike other adapters, this design completely fills in the frame around the 140mm fan so the case is still sealed to air afterwards and your fan works as efficiently as possible providing airflow. You can also use this to mount both a 120mm fan AND a 92mm fan in a forced air setup into either a 120mm or 92mm fan slot.
