In each corner on the front of the bill is a number one, and on the top corners it includes the word "one" within the oval of this US silver certificate. The sides of the paper dollar both include the word "one" as well. The top of the US silver certificate states "this certifies that there is on demand deposit in the treasury of the United States of America." Furthermore, serial numbers are printed in blue ink diagonally from each other on this 1957 one-dollar certificate. Signatures for the secretary of the United States and the secretary of the treasury are featured on either side near the bottom. The right side of this certificate includes a blue seal with the wording "Washington D.C."
